Welcome. I am atyh, this is my site. I live off grid in the Pacific Northwest with my best friend, two Austrailian Shepherds, a bunch of chickens, and a few solar panels. We live a simple, sustainable life. We grow food, build our own systems, find our own way of doing things, and create solutions for the things we need.

I enjoy the technical aspects of building what we use day to day. Battery storage systems, power generation systems, water collection and filtration, waste management, and learning how to work with the land to produce healthy, abundant food.

I am an avid user and advocate of Libre software. I like the Unix philosophy, Plan9, BSD, the rc shell, and writing weird elisp functions to make Emacs do all kinds of fun things.

I try to be as real as possible, and shoot straight. Take a look around. Im sure you will find something interesting, weird, or that will at least make you laugh.
